Sil Peeters
Legal Counsel
According to Sil, the right to privacy is the most important fundamental right we have. As a Legal Counsel at ICTRecht within the Data & Privacy team, he protects this fundamental right in his daily practice. Working in Lisa Boode’s team, he primarily focuses on helping organisations by translating legal texts in the digital domain into concrete and workable advice.
Sil obtained his bachelor’s degree in Law at Maastricht University, studied for a semester at Université Toulouse Capitole 1, and completed his master’s degree in Internet, Intellectual Property and ICT at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. In addition, Sil gained experience through internships at several law firms in the south of the Netherlands, where he developed a strong focus on IP and IT law.
His working style can best be described as decisive, structured and highly attentive to the client. In his spare time, Sil prefers to be in the kitchen, with a particular interest in French cuisine and French wines. To compensate for all the butter and salt, he is an avid runner and can also often be found in the swimming pool.
