Abel Hoogeveen

Abel Hoogeveen works as Legal Counsel and AI Section Coordinator at ICTRecht. He focuses primarily on streamlining and automating legal business processes. In addition, he regularly develops software to accelerate processes within ICTRecht and for clients.

Abel studied law at Leiden University and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He specialised in technology and internet law, as well as constitutional and administrative law. During his studies, Abel worked as a freelance software developer, creating tools for app development and data analytics.

Abel’s combined skills in law and technology make him highly versatile. He has a strong ability to absorb and analyse large volumes of information and can quickly bring structure to complex files. For challenging technical matters, he is therefore often called upon to impose order and distil the key legal issues.
