Danaé Nagtegaal

Danaé Nagtegaal works as Legal Counsel at ICTRecht and specialises in privacy and IT law. She supports organisations with practical and solution-oriented advice on a wide range of privacy and data protection matters. In doing so, she looks beyond legislation alone and also takes a strategic approach to embedding privacy within organisations in a sustainable and effective way.

In addition to her advisory role, Danaé acts as Privacy Officer (PO) and Data Protection Officer (DPO) for several organisations. She is also CIPP/E and CAICO certified.

Within ICTRecht, Danaé has extensive experience advising (semi-)public authorities, educational institutions and commercial organisations. Her expertise goes beyond privacy alone. She has a broad legal perspective on digitalisation and technological innovation and knows how to apply relevant legislation at the intersection of technology and law effectively.
