Esmée Baljet-Kuyt

Esmée works as Head of Academy and Legal Counsel at ICTRecht. As Head of Academy, she is responsible for the further development of the Academy and for safeguarding its quality. Alongside her management role, she provides organisations with practical legal advice on privacy and (ICT) contracts. Esmée has experience across various sectors, including education and commercial organisations. She has worked, among other roles, as an in-house lawyer, Privacy Officer and Data Protection Officer.

At ICTRecht, Esmée is also a trainer and delivers a wide range of courses for the Academy. In addition, she is active as a trainer for in-house privacy training at client organisations. Thanks to her background in education combined with her management skills, Esmée understands where development opportunities lie for the Academy and remains closely involved in its ongoing growth.

Esmée completed the Master’s degree in Private Law Practice at the University of Amsterdam. Prior to that, she followed the excellence programme at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, where she also obtained her Bachelor’s degree. Before joining ICTRecht, Esmée worked at a law firm, where she gained experience in contract law and dealt with a wide range of privacy-related matters.
