Gert-Jan Turnhout

Gert-Jan works as an Information Security Consultant within the Legal & Compliance team. He advises organisations on setting up and improving their information security, supports the implementation of standards such as ISO 27001 and NEN 7510, and translates legislation and regulations, including the NIS2 Directive and the Cybersecurity Act, into clear and workable processes. He is a PECB ISO 27001 Lead Implementer and combines in-depth knowledge of standards with a strong practical focus.

With more than 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur in the IT sector, he understands how technology, processes and people come together. He has extensive experience in setting up management systems for information security and quality (ISO 9001). In addition, he carries out baseline assessments and gap analyses to assess the maturity of management systems and to support organisations in their further development in a targeted way. Sustainability and social responsibility are key values for him, which he also incorporates into his work.
