Loi Gawel

Loi Gawel works as a Senior Legal Counsel at ICTRecht and is part of the privacy team. He advises organisations on privacy matters and is also involved in the implementation of privacy legislation. In addition, he enjoys working with organisations on how technology can be used intelligently within legal processes, which underlines his passion for Legal Tech.

Loi completed a bachelor’s degree in IT law at the University of Groningen and subsequently obtained a master’s degree in Information Law at the University of Amsterdam. Before joining ICTRecht, Loi worked at Legalloyd Advocaten & Legal Tech. There, he gained relevant experience as a privacy lawyer and contributed to the development of various Legal Tech products.

Loi is a keen enthusiast of almost every ball sport, as well as kitesurfing and board games. The only downside is that he does not handle losing very well.
