Marike Wiersma

Marike works as a Legal Counsel at ICTRecht. In this role, she advises cloud service providers, their suppliers and customers on the legal aspects of cloud computing. She specialises in the specific legal challenges faced by healthcare organisations in the cloud. In this context, she is involved, among other things, in complex matters relating to medical devices.

Marike completed a master’s degree in Private Law, with a focus on liability law, at Utrecht University, as well as a master’s degree in Health Law at Erasmus University. Prior to joining ICTRecht, Marike worked as an in-house lawyer at a MedTech start-up, where she mainly dealt with contracts and regulation concerning medical devices.

Marike enjoys a challenge and approaches complex issues with great enthusiasm. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, baking and going for walks.
