Melanie van Leeuwen

Melanie currently works as a Senior Compliance Consultant at ICTRecht. In this role, she is deployed on assignments such as internal audits, implementation projects and other consultancy activities for external clients. In addition to her consultancy work, Melanie is the lead lecturer at our Academy for the Certified Compliance Officer programme and the NIS2 training courses.

Before joining ICTRecht, Melanie worked for five years at Parnassia Group. Prior to that, she lived in the United States for four years, where she studied law and subsequently worked as a public prosecutor at the family court in Kansas City, Missouri.

Melanie is widely deployable as a consultant. In addition to ISO 27001, NEN 7510 and ISO 13485, she focuses on compliance issues relating to NIS2 and other relevant cybersecurity legislation. She has a strong ability to translate complex regulatory frameworks into clear and practical advice for organisations across all sectors.
