Micha Groeneveld

Micha has been working at ICTRecht as Senior Legal Counsel since March 2025. He specialises in privacy, including the implementation and compliance of the GDPR and the performance of GAP assessments and DPIAs, and is CIPP/E certified.

He also advises on, and drafts, a wide range of IT contracts, such as licence, maintenance and SaaS agreements and Service Level Agreements. Micha closely monitors European tech regulation and advises on the implementation and compliance of the AI Act, Data Act, Digital Services Act and other European rules, for example for online platforms and manufacturers of IoT devices.

Before joining ICTRecht, Micha worked in the Tech and Privacy Law team at BDO and previously at similar organisations. In total, he has more than 20 years of experience as a broadly trained legal adviser in corporate and company law. This broad background allows Micha to be deployed across a wide range of legal matters.

Micha is a task-oriented and pragmatic legal problem solver. He excels at reducing legal issues to their core and advising on the most effective approach.
