Rick Kaspers

Rick Kaspers works as Senior Legal Counsel at ICTRecht and advises organisations on legal issues relating to privacy and artificial intelligence. As a privacy officer, Data Protection Officer and AI officer, he supports a wide range of organisations in both the public and private sectors.

He combines legal precision with strong technical affinity, quickly grasps the broader picture and translates abstract rules into workable solutions, with attention to both context and the people behind it. This makes him a strategic sparring partner for organisations seeking direction in a rapidly changing landscape.

He draws energy from complex puzzles, building sustainable solutions and sharing knowledge, which is also reflected in his work as a trainer at the ICTRecht Academy.

He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) and a Certified Artificial Intelligence Compliance Officer (CAICO). He obtained his legal foundation at Utrecht University, supplemented with international experience in London. Previously, he worked in the telecommunications sector at KPN, with a focus on the SME segment.
